HRM AMBASSADORS
some of whom have walked the very same path as you
Carol Church ~ Sherwood Park, AB
Hello you Beautiful chosen Sistas!!
I am so honoured to have been chosen to be a part of the ambassador team and am excited to journey with you and watch you grow and flourish!
I am a 65 yr old healthy, fit retired RN entering my 13 journey!Ā Married to Rod for 43 yrs with 2 fabulous grown daughters with spouses, and who have showered me with 6 beautiful grandkiddies!!Ā My family is the center of my universe and a big part of the reason why I choose to live a healthy lifestyle!Ā HRM has given me tools to pursue goals of living that balanced that healthy lifestyle!
Like many, HRM entered my life at a low point, one where I was facing retirement and old age, menopausal, with some extra ā weight ā and unsure of how to break the unhappy, unfulfilled rut of life I was in!
I overheard a co worker telling a group of fellow RNs about the positive impact HRM had on her life; and I had witnessed the impressive transformation myself the previous weeks!!Ā Without analyzing I said ā sign me upā and I have not looked back!
Ā Over these past journeys I have found so much more than the awesome workouts, nutrition advice, physio support! Ā
āļø I have gained community filled with so many positive, inspiring, uplifting women intent on holding each other up through good and bad!Ā
āļø I have learned to shift my mindset to one of positivity and gratitude.
āļø I have learned that I am capable and strong and can do hard thingsā¦ I am enough!!
āļøI have found new connections and formed long lasting friendships! Ā
āļø I have found the Joy and zest for life that I never expected to recover!
āļø I have learned that journeys are not linear and we grow with the peaks and ebbs of life
āļø All with the side benefit of becoming the strong, healthy and #fitnana I am today.
This truly is an achievable and sustainable healthy lifestyle; and incorporates women of a wide variety of ages and stages in life. This community is supportive, accepting and inclusiveā¦ whatever you choose to give you can expect to receive twofold!
Looking so forward to cheering and supporting you on this journey!
Excited to be here for another journey!
Carol
Christine McBride ~ Winnipeg, MB
First off, welcome to all of you fabulous beauties for taking the plunge to be here and show up for yourself!Ā I know how hard it can be to put yourself first sometimes when there are so many obligations in life wanting attention.Ā You are here and you are worth it!
Iām Christine, proud member of the #mbcrew, from Winnipeg.Ā I am a wife to Andy, mom to Sam and Grace, and fur mom to Rico and Skelly.Ā I work at an aerospace company here in the city where Iāve been for almost 14 years and have recently been moved into a new position.Ā There is a year and a half to two years of training ahead, but I know that with the tools and support I have gained from this community I can face this new challenge too! Ā
This is my 11th journey with HRM and my 5th time as an ambassador.Ā I love being able to give back to this community what it has given to me: connection, friendships, motivation, and inspiration.Ā HRM has this in spades! Ā
This community is so much more than just workouts and nutrition, it really is a special place that I hadnāt found before. There is something truly heartwarming about women cheering and supporting other women. I have made friendships and connected with women who inspire me. If you see someone on the page who wows you or speaks to you on another level, please reach out to her. It can be scary to put yourself out there but I promise you it will come back to you tenfold. This is a community like no other!
My promise to you is that I will always keep it real. You will see my struggles, victories, and everything in between. Iām excited to get started and cheer you on as we navigate this journey together. Letās do this!
Clare Buchacher ~ Fort Saskatchewan, AB
Hello! Welcome to theĀ Journey. Some of my journeys have been super strong. Some not so strong. One of the important things Iāve learned is consistency is everything and action precedes motivation. If you ever feel like life is hard or busy and need a nudge to find that time for movement message me! Ive felt it all!
About me.. I am a wife to my high school sweetheart. We have 2 grown children who married spouses that we love! 1 grandson, my mom lives about 3 blocks from us,Ā andĀ 2 crazy hounds that get me out daily for some outdoorphins and exercise. Family is everything to me and I am so I have Ā blessed we are so close.Ā Ā I am an RN who works a part time position in day surgery, casual in ER and OR. I am 55 years young and navigating the hormonal changes of āexperiences yearsā. I have found HRM workouts are the best for this time in my life ā¦.. well all times but now especially. I love cycling, lifting and swimming and XC skiing, I also recently tried pickleball and Iām hooked! What I love about HRM is the diversity of the program. Beginner? Thereās modifications. Experienced? Thereās a way to challenge yourself. Love other sports like running? Hereās how to incorporate them into the HRM program. The support and encouragement is above and beyond any other program Iāve tried. Iāve met in person and online some incredible women. Connections are the secret sauce to this program.Ā This community is diverse in age and ability but the common thread is how we encourage each other to be our best selves, it really is a program for all.
I look forward to doing this journey alongside all of you, my promise to you is Iāll be here to encourage, offer tips and tricks and keep it real. Letās go!
Colleen Deckert ~ Winnipeg, MB
This will be my 11th journey and my first time as an HRM Ambassador!Ā Having seen the difference a great Ambassador can make, Iām looking forward to learning from others and taking on this challenge.
Iāve completed 10 journeys, all with varying degrees of success.Ā Given my previous busy work schedule (including lots of travel), I had such a difficult time sticking to the program and certainly not engaging in The Posse.Ā Sometimes I was just treading water to get to the end of the journey thinking āmy NEXT journey will be the one!ā
All that changed with my retirement 16 months ago which has afforded me the luxury of timeā¦time for me, time to focus on my fitness goals and time to connect with this beautiful community.Ā Who would have thought that, in retirement, Iād be getting up at 5:30 three times a week to support and be supported by the early morning Zoom crew! #willworkoutforstickers
I look forward to our in-person connections too, and am so proud of the #mbcrew and the incredible people Iāve met.Ā Now my workouts are a non-negotiable part of my life and my daily routine.
A little about meā¦born and raised in Manitoba, I am a prairie girl living in Winnipeg and will turn 62 this summer.Ā Iāve been married for 40 years and we have four grown children and seven grandbabies.Ā I love dogs, nature, gardening and believe in family and long-time treasured friendships.
I have a deep desire to share inspiration and provide insight wherever I can. I continually look for ways to surround myself with positive role models who embody this belief, like I do.Ā I am committed to sharing in your wins and lifting you up when you lose your way - I understand this as Iāve been there too.
As we prepare for this Spring journey, Iām excited to take this journey with you all.
Hereās to keeping our squats low and our standards high!
Ā
Dawn Meek ~ Brandon, MB
Hey Healthy Role Models!
Iām super pumped to be returning as an Ambassador for Spring 2024! Itās so motivating in my own personal journey to be cheering you all on and celebrating wins together!
I live in Brandon MB with my husband, teenage daughter and 2 pups. Our #brandoncrew is small but mighty!
My health journey has been just that, a journey! I have been there and done that. I joined HRM after losing my mom as a āweight lossā plan. 8 years ago!
I have essentially grown up within the HRM community. The things I have learned, the people I have met and connected with, and the strength Iāve built - both emotionally and physically, are all because of HRM. Itās such a well rounded community that builds a foundation of health, that everyone should have successes! Itās what you make of it, you get what you give!
Spring is such an amazing time to reset or revisit some old goals, and to make improvements in all areas of your life. Thereās something refreshing about the warmer temps, longer days and the motivation to come out of hibernation.
Iām so excited to be here alongside some badass women to help everyone reach those goals and wins!
Letās GOOOOOOOOOOOO!Ā
Dawn
Denise Levorson ~ Cabri, SK
Eeek, I am so excited and I hope you are too! Welcome to Spring Journey 2024! My name is Denise Levorson and I am honoured to be an ambassador for the very first time! I have been with HRM for a number of years ( more than 10 journeys) and the last few journeys have been my most successful due to a variety of reasons but the biggest and most important one is the connections of this HRM community!
I am 58 years young and recently retired last spring, I was a Manager in Primary Health Ā Care. I grew up in Saskatoon and didnāt know what a farmer was until I married one! I live on a farm in Cabri, SK which is in the southwest close to Swift Current! I have been with my husband for 40 years and married 34 years coming up! We have 2 kids and one grandson and family really is my reason to be the best version of me, and I want to be that āstrong and fit Grammy!ā
I always said āI donāt know what I want to do when I grow upā¦ā I have a recreation diploma, a physical education degree, EMT and LPN license and I can marry people and I Ā work as a community coroner. Throughout my life I was always giving my time to everyone and everything else and I put me on the back burner. There wasnāt much work life balance until I changed that and said I schedule everyone else in, I am scheduling me in for my workouts! HRM is not just about an amazing exercise program in Ā which you can do anywhere and at anytime, it a LIFESTYLE! The information, encouragement and support you receive is incredible and you are not alone. There is valuable information on nutrition and Physio support, it truly is the best program you will find.
The biggest take away I can give to you is believe in yourself that you can accomplish anything that you set your heart and mind too. Stay engaged on the page, reach out to others , join in on the ZOOM events and you will gain new friendships and camaraderie with other like minded women who share similar goals.
I look forward to cheering you on and you will be inspiring me!
Deniseš
Heather Prencipe ~ Nanaimo, BC
Heyo!
My name is Heather and I am pumped to be here and pumped that you are here too!Ā I like how everyone and anyone can jump into this Healthy Role Models community in any part of their life - EVERYONEĀ WELCOME!Ā This is a very supportive community, so I dare you to be brave, jump into it, and enjoy the swim.
I am an island girl, born into a commercial fishing family, so I feel the most free, and the most ME, when I am on the water - even better if I am reeling in a fishy.Ā Real life takes over though, and it turns out I am on the land a lot of the time. On land, I am married to my love Jon, and we have two kids Enzo (10) and Gia (7).Ā They will all make appearances in my swelfies I am sure!Ā While I'm on land, I do need a job, so I am a GIS technician working from home, and on the side I like screen printing things in our basement - gotta have hobbies right?!
Ā I have a few tid bits of advice that I have heard from others and some that I have learned on my own.Ā Fear not early morning workouts - you will not be more tired at the end of the day.Ā Lift the weights in the morning despite what noises they make and despite who it may or may not wake up - it is worth it.Ā Be brave and post in this community because people want to connect with you, and the connection will blow you away.Ā Post the swelfie (sweaty selfie post workout) - somehow it keeps you engaged and accountable, and keeps you sticking to your intentions.Ā I am all about the #OneShotSwelfie so I don't overthink it - blurry, sweaty, fuzzy hair, mascara eyes - it doesn't matter, but it does keep you engaged which is the important part.
Ā Here are a few of my favourite things, just for fun.Ā I love pasta, and 5 cent candies.Ā As I age, I am learning to curb these things haha.Ā I love loud tropical house music while I drive, and am always on the hunt for a new favourite song.Ā My sport of choice is fieldhockey.Ā I love fun inter-locking tiles - random I know.Ā I love joy, stillness, excitement and adventuring.Ā Ā
Ā I am looking forward to cheering us all on to a healthy lifestyle, so I will see you on the page - and hopefully in real life too!
See ya there!
Yeow!Ā

Jacqueline Bennett ~ Victoria, BC
Hello HRM beauties and welcome to the 2024 Spring Journey!!!
Ā
My name is Jacqueline Bennett (aka Jax) and I am beyond excited and very honoured to be one of your Ambassadorās for this journey.Ā Spring is one of my most favourite times of year, a time of renewal and fresh beginnings.Ā I am so looking forward to growing and thriving with you all during this journey and helping to make it one of our best yet!Ā This will be my 18th journey with Healthy Role Models.Ā Joining this incredible community was honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made, and I cannot imagine life without it.Ā I have formed lifelong friendships here and it has truly changed me inside and out. Ā
A little bit about me, I am married to a wonderful husband who was my teenage sweetheart and we have a 12 year old son James and a five year old dog Bella.Ā I am an Emergency Dispatch Coordinator for Fortis BC (LOVE my job) and work full time.Ā We live in Victoria BC and one of our favourite past times is boating on our 34ā catamaran.Ā During the summer months you will find us exploring the Gulf Islands as much as we can enjoying hiking, kayaking, swimming, and soaking in alllll the #outdoorphins we can!!
I joined HRM back in the Fall of 2015 when I was at my heaviest weight and not very happy in life.Ā I had been fairly active in previous years doing mainly bootcamps or gym workouts but I never fully committed to anything.Ā When I first heard about this group I honestly thought, āHow much could an on-line fitness group truly help me?ā Ā I was admittedly skeptical but shortly after joining I could see how special this group truly was.Ā I discovered one of the main things missing for me beforeā¦Connection!Ā This is one of the most unique things about HRM, connection.Ā It is what brings the magic.Ā I had no idea that a group of on-line women could keep you motivated and be so supportive.Ā So different from anything I had done and I have been hooked ever since.Ā By being so connected to the group and learning all that I can, I feel more empowered and confident than I ever have before.Ā HRM isnāt just about exercise, it is SO much more.Ā It is a journey of learning how to live a healthier life, a journey of mental wellness and learning to love yourself and every imperfect part of you!Ā I have suffered from anxiety for years and used to have to take medication to keep it at bay.Ā It was after starting this program that I was able to stop.Ā Daily movement is my medicine! Ā
Every journey has been a little different for me.Ā I have had journeys where the exercise was my complete focus and others nutrition (my monster!) and I have also been knocked out by injury.Ā Even when I was out I still stuck with the program.Ā I found that I needed that connection to keep my awareness of health and nutrition going.Ā This connection also helped me to learn the phrase āWhat CAN I doā instead of āI CANāT doā.Ā This is a life journey and we will always have ups and downs but the most important part is that we keep taking steps forward no matter how big or small. Ā
Each personās journey is unique and it is so important to remember to not compare yourselfā to others.Ā Some are here for their first journey and some are here for their 12th!!Ā My advice to new comers is to take advantage of all this program has to offer and go into it slowly.Ā It can be overwhelming at the start but the information is so rewarding.Ā Soak it all in.Ā I made a commitment to make my health a priority so that I would be a better person for myself and my family and I am excited and honoured to help you along your journey to achieve your health and wellness goals as I continue towards mine too!!
Janelle Milligan ~ Norman Wells, NT
I just want to start off by saying that I couldnāt be more excited to be an Ambassador for SpringĀ 2024! To have the chance to help guide, inspire and most of all, cheer you ladies on to help you reach new goals is such an honour. *insert excitement squeal*
Hiiiiiiiiiiiii!!! My name is Janelle. Iām originally from Nova Scotia but have called the Norman Wells, Northwest Territories (Google it. Iām way up there) home for almost 9 years. Iām a wife and and a Mom of 2ā¦ cats that is who are my chosen babies. Seriously, one gets yearly vacations to Edmonton to go to the dentist! Theyāre my world. I donāt know how all you human moms do it, so much to juggle, youāre all amazing!
I work with the government at a super busy job that Iām loving but it has me glued to a chair most of the day. Thatās why youāll see many pics of me bundled up in all my fluffy winter gear walking back and forth to work even on the days when itās -50. Thatās right, -50 exists and itās cold. It makes me feel pretty tough though. Who doesnāt want to feel tough?! Aside from that Iām a huge softie full of love that Iām ready to give and receive from you all.Ā
My fitness journey started probably in my 30ās. Iām part of the over 40ās club now. How the heck did that happen?! Who is with me on that one, eh?! I have tried many things, but HRM has proven to be the best fit for me. Even though, Iām mostly a team of one in the remote area that I live in, itās the connection of this community that makes HRM so special and makes me want to keep improving myself. That seems to be the the loudest message around here, itās because of YOU that all of us are here. Remember that throughout your journey, HRM wouldnāt be the magical place that it is without each and every one of you. If a post reaches one person or 30 people theyāre all important. Keep showing up, for us and more importantly for you. You never know the positive impact you could make on someone with a single sentence or story. Helping other people is best feeling ever!Ā
I was lucky enough to be a finalist back in Spring of 2022. During that time I kept repeating āmake yourself proud.ā Itās never about perfection or comparison, itās about making yourself proud. When you feel that, it will make all the difference.Ā Ā Iām also a big believer in balance, enjoy vegetables, healthy proteins, and stay hydrated but make sure you still enjoy a glass of wine and occasional poutine. Balance and sustainability are my jam!
Hereās to SpringĀ 2024! Letās spread the love, share the sweaty pics, make hilarious jokes (I like to think Iām hilarious), crush the workouts, dance when the music hits just right and make yourself PROUD! Canāt wait to see all your faces!!
Jennifer Gray ~ Moosomin, SK
Hello and Welcome to HRM!
I am so happy you took the leap and joined us! You are in such great hands, just wait and see!
My name is Jennifer Gray and I am honored to be a part of the Ambassador team for the Spring 2024 journey.
My journey started in 2017 when I joined the community on the very last day of registration. Little did I know how much my life was going to change since that day. With each and every journey, I learn so much more about myself and what I am capable of.
I live in a small prairie town in South East Saskatchewan called Moosomin. My husband and I have raised 3 amazing kids together. They all Ā are on their own life paths and we are so lucky to watch them grow and thrive in their own unique way. We are blessed with 2 grandsons. My family is my biggest āwhyā in doing what I do. Being fit and active in order to keep up with my grandsons is a major reason to look after my health.
I am a retired Dental Hygienist of 25 years, now Interior Decorator/Home Transitions expert who owns her own business.
Over the last 3 years. I have endured 2 rotator cuff injuries on the same side. The last few years my main focus was mobility and range of motion. This journey I am focusing on building my strength. I am a firm believer that there is ALWAYS something you can do.
My biggest piece of advice is to get involved in the facebook page and into your community. There is so much HRM has to offer! Soak it all up!
Your new besties are waiting for you!!
I cannot wait to cheer you on,
Jennifer
xoxo
Katie Hillier ~ Beaumony, AB
Hello and welcome to the SpringĀ 2024 journey!
I have been a part of the HRM community since the spring of 2017 ā I was looking for a way to be consistent with my health after having my kids when I noticed a friend of mine was eating better and looking healthy. She recommended HRM, and I havenāt looked back since!Ā
I am a high school science teacher and my husband and I have two girls who are 10 and 12. I love that for most of their lives theyāve known me as someone who works out! What an amazing thing to be able to model for them.Ā
HRM has given me the support that I need to stay moving, and the confidence to try new things. When you can see other women like you doing cool activities, it tells your brain that you can probably do those things too. Since joining HRM, I have hiked to the top of several mountains (something I never thought I would do), paddle boarded in the ocean, and gone to an aerial park! I can also do not-as-cool things (like help move heavy boxes) way more easily than I could before. Truly training for life!Ā
I love the accountability that this community provides, and I hope that you reach out if you ever have questions or need encouragement. Looking forward to crushing it with you!
Laurelle Loe ~ St. Albert, AB
Welcome!
My name is Laurelle, and Iām so excited about what is ahead for us all.Ā This is my 16th journey with Healthy Role Models and my 12th as an ambassador, and I say with certainty that our Healthy Role Model community is a very special place. Whatever your goals or reasons for being here... I can assure you that you belong!
I just celebrated turning forty this Christmas, and my husband and I will celebrate our 19th anniversary in May. We have four kids, and we both work full time. Life is full, fun, and seems to be getting a bit crazier each year, but in the best way! Family life is busy and keeps us on our toes, but we are so grateful for each day, and for our health.
Before I tell you about why I love HRM, I should explain a bit about where I was before joining in the autumn of 2016. I had just spent two years struggling against the scale, watching the numbers creep up and feeling my energy and confidence creep down. I never ate breakfast, survived on Diet Coke and coffee, and had those extra large sized bags of chips hidden in my car.Ā I knew I wanted something different but I had no idea how to achieve it.
HRM offered me the tools I needed to make those changes. I have learnt how to make my health a priority, how to reshape negative habits into habits that serve my goals, and how to fuel my body. More than that, HRM offered me community and support - key pieces I didnāt even know I was missing - which have been an amazing blessing in my life. My husband and our kids are all seeing the benefits of these changes. Not only do I have more energy, but we are enjoying being active as a family in ways I would have never imagined before.
Itās important to include that I am still here because this program is about a sustainable, achievable, and positive lifestyle. I have more capacity to tackle obstacles, adapt to uncertainty, and embrace new opportunities. Even in the midst of difficulty, I have found my outlook has shifted towards looking for what is possible, what is ahead...embracing and enjoying life in big and small ways.
At the root of all of this is the HRM community, where we are encouraged to cheer, lift up, grow, and learn.
I love being here and I am so glad you are too!
Ā
Laurelle
Lesley Nichol ~ MacGregor, MB
Welcome to this incredible community of chosen sisters!
This is my first time as an Ambassador and it is truly my honour to have been selected.Ā
My name is Lesley and I live in a small rural community called MacGregor, Manitoba. This is my 9th consecutive journey with HRM and without sounding dramatic, this community has changed my life!Ā
I am a mother to three amazing adult children (Tyler, Connor and Emily) and I have been married for 30 years to a super supportive husband (Marc). My greatest title is when I get called āGrandmaā from my almost 4-year-old granddaughter (Brae). My family is my āwhyā.
I am forever indebted to my sister (Tracey Kleysen) for introducing me to HRM. That first journey I witnessed firsthand the impact and magic of this community. My mindset completely changed to feeling isolated and alone in creating new and improved healthier habits to embracing everyoneās advice and support in guiding me to a better place both physically and emotionally.
I have learned to make my health a priority, how to reshape negative thoughts and habits into positive ones and how to realistically set goals for myself. I have learned so much from this community including that I genuinely love the woman I am. I never realized the gift I would get from such a supportive team, cheering me on and inspiring me to be the best version of myself.
I canāt wait to support your journey as an ambassador. We will share our joys and our challenges but most importantly we will support each other through all of them.Ā
Let pride be your metric! The fact that you signed up with HRM is already a huge win!
I am super pumped you are here! You have found the perfect place to land! This community is like no other! Letās goā¦ā¦

Midge Smith ~ Qualicum, BC
Woohoo and welcome to the 2024 Spring Journey. My name is Midge Smith.Ā I will be 62 in May, live in Qualicum Beach and married 39 years.Ā We have two beautiful daughters, two great son-in-laws and three awesome grandkids who are my why. This is my 11th consecutive journey.
Some of my favourite things I enjoy are mtn biking, running, resistance training, hiking and pickleball.Ā I also try to make time for baking, reading and quilting.
HRM has taught me that I can accomplish hard things, believe in myself and if you follow through with consistency you can reach your goals.Ā Connections I make on the page and in real life inspire me everyday.
I am honoured once again to be your ambassador.Ā I look forward to help guide you, cheer for you and hopefully inspire you.Ā This community is like no other.Ā I canāt wait for us to get started!
MidgeĀ
Paula Flemming ~ Port Alberni, BC
Iām Paula but youāll see me as Pk on the page. I live in Port Alberni with my very supportive HRM Husband. I work as an EA at a beautiful First Nations Cultural school.Ā
This will be my 18th consecutive HRM journey. I came to HRM for the fitness program but stayed for the community.Ā Ā Ā
Although, I never have had any weight issues (except those freshman fifteen) but I was never strong and fit. I will be turning 50 this journey and feel fit and fabulous!Ā I enjoy weight training, and am still learning to love cardio. There have been big physical changes in my body, but my biggest changes are on the inside.Ā Eating healthy and nutritious meals is my new way of life. Ā Food prep and trying different recipes is now hobby I look forward too; I actually like being in the kitchen. With some planning it actually saves me time and helps me stay on track.Ā
I love the connections that I have made in Port Alberni and beyond with HRMs from different communities. I used let my anxiety get the best of me and felt lonely and missing out. The tools IŹ¼ve gained through HRM have taught me to step out of my comfort zone to connect with others. It is work but worth it to be surrounded by so many supportive and inspiring women.
I am dedicated HRM and enjoy getting together with others in healthy activities including working out, hiking, yoga and more. I still really appreciate cake and wine but I believe in balance so I wont deny myself some indulgences.
I feel honored to be apart of your journey and look forward to be here alongside you.Ā

Rebecca Coley Hutchison ~ Courtenay, BC
Hi! I'm Rebecca! This is Journey #11 for me and my first time as an ambassador. I joined this amazing community in the Spring of 2018 after having my second baby to get some workouts that I could do at home and had no idea what was to come. This place is so much more than workouts, it's community, connection, inspiration, and accountability. I love to cheer people on and I look forward to cheering for YOU! I love it here!
I am a wife, a mum, a dog lover, a primary teacher, and a lover of the outdoors. I love running in the trails, dog walking, mountain biking, camping, and skiing, and living in the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island provides plenty of opportunities! My husband and I have two little girls (4 & 6) and two dogs. Role modeling a healthy lifestyle for them and being strong and able to keep up to them is what brought me here, but it's that feeling of strength in all areas of my life that keeps ME at the centre of my why. Life is busy and loud and full of all the things, but putting my health first helps me to show up as my best self. I love the feeling of being strong and it's because of this community that I am the most fit in my life... at 40!
You'll find me working out in the early mornings before the house gets moving for the day to make sure I get that time for me. I'm not a morning person, but morning workouts have become my jam. That feeling of pride sticks with you all day. You'll never regret it! Over the years a couple of lines from this program have really stuck with me: "Challenge equals change" when it's hard, it hurts, and you don't want to - dig deep and you'll be so glad you did. "Let pride be your metric" celebrate your wins, big or small!Ā
I'm stoked you're here and can't wait to cheer you on. This place is truly magic!Ā
xo Rebecca

HRM could not have come at a better time in my life.Ā I wasnāt taking care of myself and wasnāt making myself a priority.Ā I have had a lot of loss over the last year and without this community and program I wouldnāt be where I am today.Ā I have felt safe amongst this community and have never felt judged.Ā I have been so lucky to make some amazing connections and cannot wait to make more!
I am so excited to be there to cheer all of you fabulous human beings on and be there to support you in any way!Ā I will be watching for you and your swelfies. Take this journey to learn about you, learn and recognize your why, run your own race and most importantly smile and have fun!! Ā
Ā
Remember that Ā you are beautiful, you are important, you are strong and you can do anything!! Trust the process, give yourself grace and remember to rest and recover! Ā Ā
I look so forward to being alongside you allOn this journey! We are stronger together ! Ā

Shanna Patrickson ~ Nanaimo, BC
Welcome ladies! It's an honour to be one of your Ambassadors for Spring 2024. This will be my 11th consecutive journey and third time as an ambassador. I live in beautiful Nanaimo, BC with my husband and teenage daughter and I have an adult son that lives close by.Ā
I love to get outside and explore trails, waterfalls and great views are my favourite. You will often find me on my yoga mat, reading, or trying out a new spin class with the #HRMspinqueens. When I first joined Healthy Role Models in 2019, I was just looking for another fitness challenge but quickly realized it's much more that that. The community of like-minded diverse women will keep you invested time after time. It's so much more than a 12 week physical challenge.
I have met some of the most amazing women that I wouldnāt have crossed paths with if it weren't for taking that leap of faith 5 years ago to give the program a try. HRM has been such a catalyst for personal growth for me and each journey brings something new. There is always someone to lift you up or inspire you no matter what you are going through.
If this is your first journey or you are thinking about joining us, I encourage you to go all in and step out of your comfort zone. This community is like no other and I think you will love it here! Have fun, it really has been life changing for me! I hope that I can help inspire and support you in this journey! Can't wait to cheer you on!
