HRM AMBASSADORS
some of whom have walked the very same path as you

Fallon Campbell ~ Grosse Isle, MB

Hello all!
I am a joy seeking, energy creating, wellness loving woman from Manitoba, and I am so excited to by with Healthy Role Models for my nineth journey- and second time as an ambassador! I am a wife (to a kick-butt husband). A mom (3 kiddos and one fur baby). A twin. A high school teacher. I love sushi and popcorn (not at the same time), spinning and running, musicals, singing and dancing, podcasts, and summers at the lake.
My story with HRM started 4 years ago after the birth of my third child. Fitness has always been important to me, as has mental wellness. However, I was at a time in my life where I could not muster up a positive thought about myself.
I was a sleep deprived, mom of three, renovating my dream home, and I lost my joy. One day, I saw a friend post about a “fitness” group called HRM. I signed up in desperation, seeing her results and joy, and the rest is history! Little did I know that “fitness”
was the tip of the iceberg in HRM.
I have learned through this positive community, that I AM WORTH IT. I have discovered a self-esteem that had been lost for so long, and I have so much joy. Am I strong as heck now? yepppers… but my gains are way past strong.
My advice for you is that comparison will rob you of joy. You may find yourself feeling ‘less than’ from time to time. Remember that this is YOUR journey. Are you proud of yourself? Use that feeling of pride to feed your joy.
Deep breath. Let’s dive in!
Angie Boyko ~ Fort Saskatchewan, AB

First of all I’d like to start off by saying, I am incredibly honored to once again be given the opportunity to fill the role of an ambassador for the Autumn 2022 Journey.
My name is Angie Boyko, I live in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta with my other 1/2 and our two incredible kids. I grew up in Edmonton and was never a girl who loved sports. I liked individual challenges like track and field but I hated team sports with a passion. Reflecting back on that statement has made me realize that I truly do love to “run my own race” which is exactly what I have found in HRM, not surprising as it’s one of their philosophies. This group of ladies is incredible, encouraging and everyone is working at different levels of experience but what we all have in common is we are all working towards goals together. This incredible community that I stumbled upon has made me grateful for all it has given me. When I say “I stumbled” I truly mean was encouraged by a couple friends who knew I could before I knew it myself. Who helped me push out of my comfort zones and helped me see “I” was worth it. So believe me when I say it is mind blowing that I have grown to the point I feel I belong in the role of being a role model to this community. It truly is life changing
Spring 2022 will be my 5th journey with HRM and my 3rd as an ambassador. I have never felt more at home with a group of ladies than I have here. Originally when I joined I doubted my ability but within the 1st few weeks of my journey I started to find the “Me” who knew she could and who really wanted to do this. As the days past my heart smiled more and more each day, my confidence grew and my self worth skyrocketed. I’ve met so many incredible women who I haven’t met in person but have become friends for life with and are a constant source of support when needed! The “you got this”, “I know you can” and “I'm right here with you” are sometimes exactly what you need to get through and smile. Through HRM I have found a ME I love and I’m so able to maintain that with a healthy work/life/home/me balance. It is so achievable once you get there, you just have to start by trying.
My days are filled with helping other people's bodies feel better so it was about time for me to step up and help my body. I’ve been a registered Massage Therapist for the past 21+ years and I love what I do. So much so I can’t even imagine doing anything else. So my days are filled with figuring out how the body works, my evenings/weekends are spent taking care of my family and me. I am super blessed to be part of this amazing community and I know you will be too.
Can’t wait to see you all on the page, cheer you on and watch you all grow alongside me. It’s going to be Heart smiling for all of us
Aaron Lukoni ~ Victoria, BC

Hello ladies and HELLO SPRING!
There’s just something about spring that makes everything awesome – the fresh air, the first flowers, the warmer breeze through the budding trees…and I want to warmly welcome you to the Spring Journey! Whether this is your 1st or 100th journey, I can’t wait to share the adventure alongside you and I promise that this 12 weeks of community, commitment and consistency will change your life.
It is a know fact that everyone has too many things on the go - we all have multiple balls we juggle every day. Work, life, kids activities, spouses, friends, ummm pandemnic?!?!?! and now it’s time for you to really set your sights on YOURSELF and focus those intentions to a place where all that strength comes from - and that's within each of use. Be so proud because you’ve already taken the biggest step forward by being a part of this journey. YOU are taking this time to be your authentic self, and I’m so very honored you are here.
My backstory…and what you all really want to know…is that really how I spell my name??? The easiest answer is that my *loving* parents wanted a first born son really, really badly. They didn’t get it (obviously) but refused to change the name that they had decided on so here I am, rocking the Ay-Ay-RON and making that name stand tall and proud. I OWN my strong and if you don’t feel it now, you are going to feel it by the end of this journey I promise you!
This will be my 11th journey with HRM and my third as an ambassador (cue applause and high fiving virtually! They like me…they really really like me!!!!) and hello to those ladies that make up our South Island Crew!! Truthfully, Ambassador or not, I could never be without this community. I’m a mother of three amazing daughters, work full time, just finished my second masters degree and a fellowship, and balance a heavy activity and volunteer schedule. Realistically I never thought that I could find the balance I needed to be the best role model for my daughters AND make myself a priority while mirroring a healthy lifestyle. I know that I need to emulate health, wellness, love for my body and show them how this can be achieved so they can grow their minds and bodies in the best way possible. They are my three biggest ‘whys’ and my of course my whole heart.
Most important (outside the amazing workouts, dance parties, and sticker charts) is that THIS IS THE PLACE where you will find that sense of belonging. A true sisterhood that will lift you up. The place you can find yourself and BE the BEST YOU both mentally and physically. The connections you are going to make in the next few months are going to be with you forever. I’m speaking from the heart and from experience 😊
My superpower? Organizational awesomeness – I can show you how to fit almost any kind of activity in even the most packed busy days – so don’t be shy and reach out. Can’t wait to see you all on the page and help guide and lift you all up over the next few weeks!
There’s nothing YOU can’t do, and I am very excited to see how you all shine over the next few weeks.
Donna Schibli ~ Smithers, BC

I am excited to once again be a part of the amazing team of ambassadors. My name is Donna Schibli and this will be my 16th journey. A huge welcome to everyone. I look forward to growing and learning from all of you as we do this journey together. I am so proud you have all chosen to take control of your health and make yourself a priority…..a decision you will not regret.
I live in the small town of Smithers in northern British Columbia. It may be a small town, but we have a mighty group of HRM warriors. I am semi-retired from my career of 40 +years as a dental assistant and own a quilt and yarn shop. I have been married for 36 years to a wonderful, supportive and adventurous man. I have two grown children, both married to their own wonderful partners as well as a 2.5-year-old granddaughter and a one-month-old grandson. This program has allowed me to keep up to that very busy little girl. I fully intend to continue to build my strength so I can keep up to both grandchildren as they grow.
I love HRM for so many reasons. I have made connections with like-minded women on the same path to improving their health. We support, cheer and life each other up. We are a team!
Another of my favourite things about this program is the ability to do all the workouts from home; no gym membership required and that all ages and fitness levels can partake.
It is not elitist!!
This program is a journey to a healthier you and the veterans will tell you no two journeys are the same. The gains and losses you make can come in different forms, sometimes physical and other times emotional. But I can assure you with consistency and hard work you will feel much healthier. This is not about outward beauty but inner strength, positivity, and good health.
I am thankful for HRM because I have learned to make myself a priority and not feel guilty or selfish for doing so. We all need to look after ourselves so we can better look after others. Love yourself first and the rest will fall into place.
So, make this journey about you whether it is your first or your tenth. For those here for the first time, please ask questions because there are no stupid questions and be a good student, read the material, do the homework, and take part on the page. You won’t regret it. I look forward to your introductions and learning more about each and every one of you.
Congratulations on taking the first step to a better version of you! I can’t wait to start cheering you on!!
Jill Hewitt ~ Ladysmith, BC

Ladies! I am so happy that you are here! I am humbled and honoured to be one of your ambassadors for Autumn 2022. The positive energy of this community is infectious, and it’s hard not to fall in love with every aspect of HRM.
I live in Ladysmith, BC – where we are famous for our cinnamon buns and HUGE hills! I have two young girls, and I love the impact that HRM has had on their lives. They are my biggest cheerleaders – taking a part in my workouts– they will also critique my form during workouts. My husband is my biggest supporter – he understands my need for balance, and when I need a gentle push.
This community has taught me that I cannot pour from an empty cup, and that it is NEVER selfish to take time for myself.
This will be the 15th journey for me, and I learn something new about myself each time. I have met some of the most amazing women in this community, and I have made some pretty big changes in my life over the past few years – thanks to the confidence that I have built from being a part of HRM. This community has seen me: give birth to two beautiful girls, buy a house, leave a job after 11 years, multiple job promotions, commit to a 3-month leadership program, get PN1 certified in nutritional coaching… and so much more!
I love to experiment in the kitchen, and love creating plant-based meals. I have been vegetarian for over 14 years, and enjoy sharing recipes and my weekly food prep. Questions about plant-based booking? Just ask.
I love to get out running and hiking in the Cowichan Valley, and am always up for company!
Immerse yourself in the community, have fun, and really TRUST THE PROCESS. HRM may become exactly what you needed, and didn’t even know it… or maybe you did. I really hope that I can inspire and support you through your journey. It is YOUR journey after all, remember that.
April Allen ~ Campbell River, BC

My name is April, and I am so honoured to have been chosen as an Ambassador for the Autumn 2022 Journey. This will be my 17th journey with Healthy Role Models and my seventh time as an Ambassador. This community has been a huge part of my life for the past 7.5 years, and I couldn’t imagine not being a part of it.
When I found Healthy Role Models back in 2014, I was a new mom and looking for something to kick-start myself back into a healthy lifestyle. I was tired, lacked patience, and in general sad about the way I felt. I am so grateful that what I found in HRM was so much more than just workouts! I found a community full of strong, supportive, empowering women and a place where I felt I belonged. Since that time, I have had a few more big life changes, but throughout it all, HRM has been a consistent piece of my life.
I have a medical condition which causes me lower back pain and stiffness that I deal with to a degree every day. Though I am unable to do some of the things that I used to (high impact exercises), I know that there is always something I CAN do. And that is what I focus on. One of the best things for my condition is to MOVE, so that’s what I do.
I enjoy living an active lifestyle and encouraging others to join me. During the past few years, we have had to adapt to many changes. One of those is working out ‘virtually’ with other HRMs. I have learned to embrace new things like working out over Zoom, and I LOVE IT! It has been amazing to still have connections with other women working towards their goals. It gives me an invaluable social connection.
Healthy Role Models has helped me in so many ways. It has helped me build strong foundations in many areas – strength, nutrition, mindset, social connection. My advice for anyone reading this is to lean in, have fun, learn, grow, and embrace challenges. You will come out stronger on the other side. If you’re ready to take your health to the next level, LET’S DO THIS! I’m here cheering you on!!
Ramona McAdie ~ Chilliwack, BC

Hello beautiful, welcome here
I am so honoured to be an ambassador for you in for this journey.
I signed up with HRM back in the fall of 2015 and have kept signing up every journey as there is always something new and exciting to learn and work on.
When I first joined HRM, I was nervous about trying something new. I was worried that an online fitness program wouldn’t be motivational enough. But the HRM program is full of so many great resources to help me have a healthy life. I have learned that action creates motivation, quality is more important than quantity, and how rest is so important to recharge and be my best. I have become more confident in myself, I am able to self motivate and I am learning what works best for me where I am at.
I am looking forward to being able to support you in my role as an ambassador. Please reach out to me as often as you’d like to let me know how I can best support you. Each person will have their own journey, working on their own goals. One thing I would say to each of you who are sitting on the fence is to GO FOR IT! Whether it ends good or bad, it was an experience. Enjoy the ride and find something to learn about it. Your direction is more important than your speed. And every day you have the choice on how you want to show up.

Shai-Lynn Lee ~ Nanaimo, BC

Hello and welcome to the 2022 Autumn journey! Whether this is your first journey or you are a returning HRM you are in the right place and have made the best decision and you will not regret it!!
My name is Shai-Lynn Lee and I am so honoured and excited to be chosen as one of the ambassadors for this journey! The 2022 Autumn journey will be my 4th journey and my second as an ambassador! I was born and raised on Vancouver island and currently reside in Nanaimo, BC. I am a 34 year old mother to an almost 5 year old daughter who is a strong independent woman with a lot of personality who you will see rippling with me in my swelfies. I also have a newborn whom I gave birth to just a couple of weeks ago. My other half and I have been together for 13 years and am so blessed to have the love and support from him. I am so grateful for my stepmom another fellow HRM who gave me that extra push to give HRM a chance and I m ever so happy I did , I don’t know why I waited so long!!
HRM could not have come at a better time in my life. I wasn’t taking care of me and wasn’t making myself a priority. I have had a lot of loss over the last year and without this community and program I wouldn’t be where I am today. I have felt safe amongst this community and have never felt judged. I have been so lucky to make some amazing connections and cannot wait to make more!
I am so excited to be there to cheer all of you fabulous human beings on and be there to support you in any way! I will Be watching for you and your swelfies. Take this journey to learn about you, learn and recognize your why, run your own race and most importantly smile and have fun!!

Laurelle Loe ~ St. Albert, AB

Welcome! My name is Laurelle, and I’m so excited about what is ahead for us all. This is my thirteenth journey with Healthy Role Models and my ninth as an ambassador, and I say with certainty that our Healthy Role Model community is a very special place. Whatever your goals or reasons for being here... I can assure you that are in the right place!
I am 38 and my husband and I celebrated our 17th anniversary this past May. We have four kids, and we both work full time. Life is full, fun, and seems to be getting a bit crazier each year, but in the best way!
Before I tell you about why I love HRM, I should explain a bit about where I was before joining in the autumn of 2016. I had just spent two years struggling against the scale, watching the numbers creep up and feeling my energy and confidence creep down. I never ate breakfast, survived on Diet Coke and coffee, and had those extra large sized bags of chips hidden in my car. I knew I wanted something different but I had no idea how to achieve it.
HRM offered me the tools I needed to make those changes. I have learnt how to make my health a priority, how to reshape negative habits into habits that serve my goals, and how to fuel my body. More than that, HRM offered me community and support - key pieces I didn’t even know I was missing - which have been an amazing blessing in my life. My husband and our kids are all seeing the benefits of these changes. Not only do I have more energy, but we are enjoying being active as a family.
To finish, I want to add that I am still here because this program is about a sustainable, achievable, and positive lifestyle. I have more capacity to tackle obstacles, adapt to uncertainty, and embrace new opportunities. These are skills and lessons that ripple into all areas of wellness and I love being a student! I’m excited to be here learning, growing, and experiencing life alongside you all ❤️
Valentina Bogie ~ Nanaimo, BC

Hello ladies! My name is Valentina Bogie, and this will be my 8th journey and 4th time as an HRM Ambassador which I am so excited and honored to be a part of the Autumn 2022 Journey.
Married to my number one supported Brian for 14 years and together we have a beautiful 15-year-old daughter Siena who loves to dance. I have been employed by the same company for over 33 years, I work hard, I am good at what I do, and I attribute the strong work ethic that I have to the way my parents raised me and I want to model that for my daughter.
I have always been very active. I’ve played high level soccer in my early twenties, but my nutrition was not the greatest and honestly, I did not really understand the importance of fueling my body properly and always have struggled with my weight. Being part of the HRM community has really taught me the importance of balance when it comes to nutrition. When I first joined to me it was about losing the weight, but I now know it’s not about the number on the scale. For me it is about being healthy, happy, accepting my body image and feeling strong and fit.
What I really enjoy about Healthy Role Models there is no judging or competition. It truly is about yourself “running your own race”. There have been days that have not gone to plan for me, but I have learned to pivot. Lean in and move forward. This is one thing that I have really come to terms with as in the past I would get upset with myself and then make unhealthy choices.
HRM is truly a wonderful inspiring community where we all come together to support and cheer each other on not just virtually but also out in the community.
Xoxo
Valentina
Jacqueline Bennett ~ Victoria, BC

Hello HRM beauties and welcome to the 2022 Autumn Journey!!!
My name is Jacqueline Bennett (aka Jax) and this will be my 15th journey and my sixth as Ambassador. I am beyond excited and very honoured to be one of your Ambassador’s for this journey. A little bit about me, I am married to a wonderful husband who was my teenage sweetheart and we have a 10 year old son James and a four year old dog Bella. I am an Emergency Dispatch Coordinator for Fortis BC (LOVE my job) and work full time. We live in Victoria BC and one of our favourite past times is boating on our 34’ catamaran. During the summer months you will find us exploring the Gulf Islands as much as we can enjoying hiking, kayaking and taking many long walks.
I joined HRM back in the Fall of 2015 when I was at my heaviest weight and not very happy in life. I had been fairly active in previous years doing mainly bootcamps or gym workouts but I never fully committed to anything. When I first heard about this group I honestly thought, “How much could an on-line fitness group truly help me?” I was admittedly skeptical but shortly after joining I could see how special this group truly was. I discovered one of the main things missing for me before…Connection! This is one of the most unique things about HRM, connection. It is what brings the magic. I had no idea that a group of on-line women could keep you motivated and be so supportive. So different from anything I had done and I have been hooked ever since. By being so connected to the group and learning all that I can, I feel more empowered and confident than I ever have before. HRM isn’t just about exercise, it is SO much more. It is a journey of learning how to live a healthier life, a journey of mental wellness and learning to love yourself and every imperfect part of you! I have suffered from anxiety for years and used to have to take medication to keep it at bay. It was after starting this program that I was able to stop. Daily movement is my medicine!
Every journey has been a little different for me. I have had journeys where the exercise was my complete focus and others nutrition (my monster!) and I have also been knocked out by injury. Even when I was out I still stuck with the program. I found that I needed that connection to keep my awareness of health and nutrition going. This connection also helped me to learn the phrase “What CAN I do” instead of “I CAN’T do”. This is a life journey and we will always have ups and downs but the most important part is that we keep taking steps forward no matter how big or small.
Each person’s journey is unique and it is so important to remember to not compare yourself’ to others. Some are here for their first journey and some are here for their 12th!! My advice to new comers is to take advantage of all this program has to offer and go into it slowly. It can be overwhelming at the start but the information is so rewarding. Soak it all in. I made a commitment to make my health a priority so that I would be a better person for myself and my family and I am excited and honoured to help you along your journey to achieve your health and wellness goals as I continue towards mine too!
Tanya Reiber ~ Ladysmith, BC

Hello beautifuls, welcome to the HRM Autumn 2022 Journey. I feel very excited and grateful to have been selected by the HRM team to be one of the ambassadors. I look forward to being alongside you all for this amazing Journey.
A little bit about myself. My name is Tanya, and this is my 4th Journey and second time as an ambassador. I reside in Ladysmith, BC where the hiking trails and best cinnamon buns are plentiful. I am 46, married to my high school sweetheart Brian, we have two amazing sons (Mike, 23, and Ty, 21) and a super sweet daughter in law (Grace, 23), and a 9yr old springer spaniel named Boomer. You will see Boomer in many photos. My family is my everything. I am an avid day and overnight hiker. My hardest overnight hike thus far was the Auger point Traverse (42kms and over 3000mtr elevation gain) and the South Kaibab to Phantom Ranch and up the Bright Angel Trail in the Grand Canyon. We also love road trips and love finding unique places to stay (some of the more unique accommodations have been a converted sheep wagon, converted rail car, and teepee). I have worked at Vancouver Island University for 23 years with 17 years as a Coordinator, Enrolment Services and Operations. The Fall 2021 Journey saw me pushing my boundaries, leveling up with wanting more which resulted in my stepping into the arena 100% outside my comfort zone and applying for and being the successful candidate for a temporary part time instructor position. What I have learned in a short two months is that the best way to grow is to learn and the best way to learn is to teach!
I was a lover of the traditional gym, but during the pandemic when gyms were forced to close doors or limited space, I jumped over the fence, and I joined HRM. I am so grateful for this community. When you hear the words, this community is more than the workouts and nutrition, believe it. The cheerleading, love, support, guidance, and connections to life-long friends is the secret sauce in this community and like no other.
Each of my journeys have looked different for me and that is 100% ok and normal. The first one I worked very hard to love my body for what it was capable of, instead of what it didn’t look like, and it was that journey that had me returning for more. It is important to lean in when things get tough, ask the questions, do the work, bring your 100% for each day, SHOW up for YOU and most of all bring the JOY.
You may have noticed; I write the word JOurneY with capitalizing the letters that spell JOY and the reason for that is a reminder to bring joy to your everyday life and especially on this Journey of Yours!
I will see YOU on the page!
#hrmtanyar
Paula Flemming ~ Port Alberni, BC

I’m Paula but also go by Pk. I live in Port Alberni with my very supportive HRM husband. This will be my 15th consecutive journey. I am honoured to be returned as an ambassador. I was drawn to HRM by incredible energy and sense of community; this is so much more than an online fitness group.
I have always been active and fairly healthy but never strong and fit. At 48 I am continuing to get fitter and stronger both physically and emotionally!
Eating healthy and nutritious meals has become a way of life. I enjoy trying new recipes and food prep is one of my favorite hobbies. I have learned that with taking the time to plan and prep it saves me so much time throughout the week and it helps keep me on track. I still enjoy a good glass of wine and have a major sweet tooth, but I believe in balance and don’t deny myself some indulgences.
The support and connections in this community are like no other. I love the connections that I have made in Port Alberni and with HRMs from different communities. In the past I often let anxiety get the best of me. I felt lonely and was missing out. The tools I’ve gained through HRM have taught me to step out of my comfort zone to connect with others. It is work but it is worth it to be surrounded by so many supportive and inspiring women.
I am a dedicated HRM and enjoy getting together with others in healthy active ways including working out, hiking, yoga and more. I am thrilled to be apart of your journey.
Christine McBride ~ Winnipeg, MB

Hello beautiful ladies! I am overjoyed to be here for my 8th journey and my second time as an ambassador.
I live in Winnipeg with my husband Andy and two kids, Sam and Grace. We round out the crew with our dog Rico and cats, Elmo and Skelly. I work as a Detail Inspector/ Welder at a large aerospace company here in the city. Coming up in January I will be taking my final course to complete my Certificate in Management at U of M. This has been a long endeavour and to be so close to the finish line is so exciting!
I came to HRM through a good friend and I haven’t looked back since! This community is so much more than just workouts and nutrition, it really isa special place that I hadn’t found before. There is something truly heartwarming about women cheering and supporting other women. I have made friendships and connected with women who inspire me. If you see someone on the page who wows you or speaks to you on another level, please reach out to her. It can be scary to put yourself out there but I promise you it will come back to you tenfold. This is a community like no other!
My promise to you is that I will always keep it real. You will see my struggles, victories, and everything in between. I’m excited to get started and cheer you on as we navigate this journey together. Let’s do this!
Heather Prencipe ~ Nanaimo, BC

Heyo!
My name is Heather and I am pumped to be here and pumped that you are here too! I like how everyone and anyone can jump into this Healthy Role Models community in any part of their life - EVERYONE WELCOME! This is a very supportive community, so I dare you to be brave, jump into it, and enjoy the swim.
I am an island girl, born into a commercial fishing family, so I feel the most free, and the most ME, when I am on the water - even better if I am reeling in a fishy. Real life takes over though, and it turns out I am on the land a lot of the time. On land, I am married to my love Jon, and we have two kids Enzo (9) and Gia (6). They will all make appearances in my swelfies I am sure! While I'm on land, I do need a job, so I am a GIS technician working from home, and on the side I like screen printing things in our basement - gotta have hobbies right?!
I have a few tid bits of advice that I have heard from others and some that I have learned on my own. Fear not early morning workouts - you will not be more tired at the end of the day. Lift the weights in the morning despite what noises they make and despite who it may or may not wake up - it is worth it. Be brave and post in this community because people want to connect with you, and the connection will blow you away. Post the swelfie (sweaty selfie post workout) - somehow it keeps you engaged and accountable, and keeps you sticking to your intentions. I am all about the #OneShotSwelfie so I don't overthink it - blurry, sweaty, fuzzy hair, mascara eyes - it doesn't matter, but it does keep you engaged which is the important part.
Here are a few of my favourite things, just for fun. I love pasta, and 5 cent candies. As I age, I am learning to curb these things haha. I love loud tropical house music while I drive, and am always on the hunt for a new favourite song. My sport of choice is fieldhockey. I love fun inter-locking tiles - random I know. I love joy, stillness, excitement and adventuring.
I am looking forward to cheering us all on to a healthy lifestyle, so I will see you on the page - and hopefully in real life too!
See ya there!
Yeow!

Katie Hiller ~ Beaumont, AB

Hello and welcome to the Autumn 2022 journey!
I have been a part of the HRM community since the spring of 2017 – I was looking for a way to be consistent with my health after having my kids when I noticed a friend of mine was eating better and looking healthy. She recommended HRM, and I haven’t looked back since! This will be my first journey as an ambassador, and I am super excited to be able to help cheer on other women in a more formal role.
I am a high school science teacher and my husband and I have two girls who are 8 and 11. I love that for most of their lives they’ve known me as someone who works out! What an amazing thing to be able to model for them.
HRM has given me the support that I need to stay moving, and the confidence to try new things. When you can see other women like you doing cool activities, it tells your brain that you can probably do those things too. Since joining HRM, I have hiked to the top of several mountains (something I never thought I would do), paddle boarded in the ocean, and gone to an aerial park! I can also do not-as-cool things (like help move heavy boxes) way more easily than I could before. Truly training for life!
I hope you have a great experience this journey, and that you reach out if you ever have questions or need encouragement. Looking forward to crushing it with you!
Jenn Davidson ~ Vancouver, BC

Welcome to the family! You’ve made a fantastic first step to being the best version of you!
My name is Jenn and I started down my own path to becoming my best version in September 2016 making this my 13th journey. I don’t like to take life too seriously. Nobody looks back and wishes they laughed less! I work in the ski industry (don’t get too excited – I’m an accountant) which means a pretty erratic and hectic schedule in the winter months and a more regular summer schedule. I have no children and no pets, so live a pretty carefree life.
All that carefree living caught up to me and I found myself carrying around a lot of “excess baggage” after a knee injury side-lined me years prior. Something needed to change. Queue a text from my dear friend nudging me to register and I went for it. I’ve had bumps and weird turns in my path, but using the tools I learned here, I know how to dig deep and fight for what is important to me. Namely – ME! Without love for myself and honouring my health, I’m not doing me or anyone around me any favours.
I could go on and on about all the incredible things that HRM has given me, but the best thing has been the connections to other awesome women. There are many in this group that I consider my closest friends and I haven’t even met many of them in real life! The connections I’ve made in this group have been life changing in so many ways. None of us are alone in our struggles or triumphs.
I am honoured to be part of your ambassador team with all these other amazing ladies. I’m looking forward to helping you navigate your way down your own path while I continue my journey.
Lisa Michaleski ~ Selkirk, MB

Welcome to YOUR Journey with Healthy Role Models Autumn 2022! I am so grateful to be a part of this AMAZING journey with YOU! I am just as excited to join you in my 12th journey as I was my first! My name is Lisa Michaleski, and I will turn a healthy, and strong 49 years old in the spring as well as celebrate my 25th year of marriage to my biggest #ripple. My boys, who are the reason I stay active are, Jackson (16) and Matthew (13). We also care for our mom who cannot take care of herself which fuels my drive to remain healthy and active as I age. I am a high school teacher in Selkirk, Manitoba. The last 7 years I have been more active than I was in my 20's or 30’s. Through HRM I have truly embraced fitness and healthy nutrition for a healthy sustainable LIFE.
When I started Healthy Role Models, I was looking for guidance with workouts and nutrition which I received whole - heartedly. What I didn't realize I would get, was a team of friends / mentors / chosen sisters that would help, inspire, challenge and motivate me to be a better version of myself. In the past I had looked at fitness and nutrition as things that I had to do, rather than what I choose to do to allow me to live my best life. The mindset change I have had in these last years, I would consider my greatest strength. The ripple effect that HRM has had in my home, personal life and work life is so rewarding, I see years of motivation from you being voiced by my children. It fills me with so much gratitude for this community. I am so proud and forever grateful to be a part of this amazing, inspiring group of women
As an ambassador, I hope to lead by example, to motivate, inspire and empower YOU. We will share our triumphs and challenges, we will teach each other how to pivot through challenges and also share in our joys and fears because WE ARE WORTH IT! My advice to you is find a CHOSEN SISTER to watch, then find another, and another because when we support and participate in each other's journeys we are unstoppable and accountable. I am so excited to watch as you embark on a new journey to the rest of what is possible, I cannot wait to connect with you!
Sara Jossul ~ Coquitlam, BC

Hello gorgeous women!
Welcome to the new arrivals and welcome back to those of us returning (whether it's #2, #25, or somewhere in between). You are in the right place.....the BEST place.
My name is Sara Jossul. I grew up in Nanaimo, but currently live in Coquitlam, BC (perhaps even one day making it back to VI). I am single with one fur-baby, my 8 1/2 year old rescue pup. I love being outdoors, adventure, travel, and challenging myself. I also really love supporting others and making connections.
This will be my fifth journey, but first as an ambassador. I am an introvert through and through, so applying to be an ambassador was a huge step out of my comfort zone. Throughout my life I have always been active.....school sports through school, rowing at UBC, and then gym, hiking, SUP, running, and a few other things as an adult. Then as with many of us, the pandemic disrupted my normal routine. My work/life balance was heavily weighted on the work side, and my self care was non-existent. So I decided I needed to do something different. Enter HRM. My first journey with HRM was Autumn 2020 and I haven't looked back.
Each journey has looked different for me - different goals, different hurdles, different focus, and of course different outcomes. And each woman in this community will have different journeys. So remember don’t compare yourself to others, be gentle with your words to yourself, and give yourself grace. And if you falter, we are here to support you as you ‘dust yourself off.’ You will also quickly find that you will be encouraged and uplifted as you do the things that challenge you. So......be proud, speak up/post and the community will cheer you on!
I am incredibly excited and honoured to be one of your Autumn 2022 Healthy Role Models ambassadors. I look forward to watching you grow and cheering you on as you run YOUR race.
Let's goooo!
Marielle Brimacombe ~ Bonnyville, AB

I am thrilled to be embarking on my tenth journey with HRM, and my first as an ambassador!
Late one evening I was scrolling social media on my phone and saw a post from an old friend about HRM. I asked her a few questions, consulted my hubby, sprung out of bed, grabbed my credit card and voila: life changed!
I was nearing 12 months postpartum with our second child, felt uncomfortable in my skin, and wanted more movement in my life but had no idea where to start. I wanted so badly to participate in group fitness however, living 30 minutes out of town with 2 young children made it near impossible. I had little to no equipment or experience lifting weights.
My first journey was an incredible learning experience! I was looking for instant gratification (aka results) and they weren’t popping up?! Despite feeling disappointed with the physical changes, the positive impact of my mental health kept me going!
I ran my first 10k at 8 months post partum, initiated and organized a fitness group in our rural community hall which hosted weekly fitness classes and ran for 3 + years. This exposed me to a fitness class that I now lead on a weekly basis (The b. class).
Me?! Starting a group fitness “club”?! Me?! Leading a fitness class? Me? Training for a half marathon? Never would I have ever imagined! HRM helped me grow in confidence to overcome my negative self talk, take chances and dare to lead! I went into my third pregnancy stronger than ever and at 6 weeks postpartum, was eager and able to ease into another spring journey! Having the HRM community to lean into during the pandemic, while on maternity leave with 3 young children was an absolute blessing.
My advice, based on moments where I feel my best, is when I have made a plan, and I am prepared for variables! It’s as simple as writing out my workout plan in my calender, filling up all my water bottles and packing lunches (with backups in the freezer), meal prepping on sundays, planning a date with a friend or my family that involves movement, 5am workouts…
Lean in and prepare to amaze yourself! I am so honoured to be among such incredible woman!
Ginny Folster ~ West Kelowna, BC

My name is Ginny Folster ("Gin G Lee" on FB) and I am so so honored and thrilled to have been selected as one of your Autumn Journey 2022 Ambassadors and can't wait to get this party started!!
I am a mother to 2 incredible all grown up girls and have been the wife to an amazing man for 21 yrs (28 together). I have lived and worked in the Okanagan Valley (Kelowna area) for the last 9 years however my heart still belongs to Vancouver Island which is where I refer to as home. ❤️
This will be my 5th journey with HRM and I can tell you with certainty I'm here for the long haul! My first journey in Autumn 2020 was truly life changing for me ... my mind, body, soul and HEART were positively impacted forever!! Before joining HRM I had been in a bad way with all the life feelings and struggles for quite sometime until one day a beautiful little birdie (April Allen) gave me a gentle nudge that set my tail on fire and I will forever be grateful for that gift.
This community has helped me realize and truly believe that I am STRONG, CAPABLE and FEARLESS!! I have learned how to genuinely LOVE the woman I am, how to PRIORITIZE me and my health and still BALANCE all the other parts and people in my life. I have made the most wonderful friendships, witnessed the most incredible transformations and been apart of the most heart filling moments and conversations!!
I have a little secret ... There's MAGIC here!!
I have always been an active, hard working, passionate and motivated individual AND now I'm here to help lift, support, guide, INSPIRE and propel YOU forward, big or small steps, FORWARD is what we do ladies!!
I am beyond excited to be Journeying with you all!!
Take the leap, trust the process, do the work and let's CRUSH this shall we!!?
See you on the page soon!! 💙
