Katelyn Ferguson ~ Qualicum, BC
Hello ladies and welcome! I am so honoured to have been chosen a third time as a Healthy Role Models Ambassador! I am so looking forward to this Spring 2020 journey! This will be my 6th journey with Healthy Role Models! One thing that I have learned that is so important is this is YOUR journey, you will get out of it what you put in to it so jump in with both feet! We all have our bad days but what makes Healthy Role Models different is we learn to pick ourselves up and keep on going because YOU got this and the ladies in this amazing tribe are behind you cheering you on every step of the way!
A little about me, My name is Katelyn I am 33 I live in Qualicum Beach, BC. I am married to an amazing supportive husband and have two wonderful busy children, my daughter is 11 and my son is 5(turning 6 in April). We also have 2 dogs and a cat (or a Dat as we call her as she thinks shes a dog)!
I have always struggled with weight my whole life and when I joined Healthy Role Models back in Sept 2017 I was at the heaviest, most unhealthy and extremely depressed I have ever been. I was scared to signup but knew if I didn’t do something my children could possibly lose their mom, so I jumped in and made a promise to myself to give it a go and try my hardest and see what happens. Fast forward today and I am the healthiest I have been! I have energy to keep up with my kids, plus get exercise in daily! Being a Healthy Role Model to me is snowing my kids that anything is possible, if you really want it to happen then only you can make that choice and push towards your goals! My kids are very active in sports and their true passion is BMX, being able to cheer them on and run around the track with them (hoping to race with them this year) is a blessing I don’t think I would have had if I didn’t step out of my comfort zone, joining this amazing tribe of women! My Best friend introduced me to Healthy Role Models and my only regret is that I didn’t start sooner and watched her for a year before finally taking the leap!
Over just the 5 Journeys I have done so far HRM has taught me so much! I’m not only seeing physical changes, but also the mindset and emotional changes that are shinning through as well! Iv learned how to be confident in myself, to love who I am, as well as I am more outgoing then I have ever been because of it. What i have learned is it’s about balancing all of life’s craziness, healthy eating, healthy exercise, healthy family life, positive thinking and being accountable for yourself! No one else can do this for you but YOU!
Ladies, I am so looking forward to what’s ahead for all of us this journey and I look forward to getting to know you all a little bit more! Don’t hesitate to reach out ask questions, or ask to be held accountable when you may be struggling, because honestly we are all here to support one another no matter what! Let’s make this spring journey one of our best ones yet, and always remember “Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle!” YOU got this beautiful!! Let the Adventure Begin!
