Hello, and welcome to the HRM community! It is like no other, and I think you are going to love it here!

This Spring marks my 8th journey with HRM, and my second as an Ambassador. I am so honoured to be here, and I can’t wait to see what this journey brings for us.

Like so many of you, I lead a full and busy life. I work part-time as an X-Ray Technologist and Mammographer, I have a wonderful husband, and a very active five-year-old son....as well as a young golden retriever and three cats! Staying active is a necessity for me. It helps create the energy I need to live my best life and provide my loved ones with the best version of me!

I am so thankful that I found out about Healthy Role Models from a friend back in 2016; at that time I had a two-year-old, and was feeling so down on myself, and life in general. My anxiety was at an all-time high. I lacked energy, drive, and any kind of passion. I KNEW I needed to do something to change my ways.

Enter HRM! From the moment I joined the online community, I knew I was in a special place. A group of ladies who are there for one another, building each other up, celebrating each others wins, conquering fears and pushing comfort zones. I actually found it hard to believe the amount of support, and genuine encouragement coming from the other women! Women supporting women?! Who knew?! When people ask me why I choose this fitness program, my answer is always the same...the community! Don’t get me wrong, the workouts are awesome. They are efficient, creative and designed to increase strength and endurance, but it’s the love within the HRM community that keeps me coming back.

Throughout my seven journeys, I have had highs and lows, losses and gains, but ultimately I feel so much happier and healthier now. I feel the best that I ever have! HRM has shown me the importance of consistency, self-care, and rest! I’ve learned that my body is capable of so much more than I ever thought.

In the past year I have found a passion for hiking, and you can find me on the trails with my pup several times a week. Nothing makes me happier than breathing in fresh air, and pushing myself to climb higher and faster. I am currently training for the Kusam Klimb, a gruelling 23 km hike here on Vancouver Island, with a group of other HRM’s! I also have plans to run my second half marathon in the fall of 2020. I never would have done these things prior to joining HRM. This program, and this community have helped me find the confidence I need to live my best life.
